Retaining wall report
Soil parameters, founding conditions, surcharge and drainage advice so a retaining wall can be designed properly, and certified.
Walls over about a metre, walls that hold up a house or a driveway, and walls near a boundary generally need a structural design, and the structural engineer needs soil parameters to do it. That is what this report provides: what the wall is retaining, what it is founded on, groundwater, and the design values.
Boreholes are placed along the wall line, the retained and founding soils are described and tested, and the report gives friction angle, cohesion and unit weight for design, founding recommendations, surcharge and global stability comments, and drainage advice.

We come out with a rig or hand equipment, drill the boreholes, log the soil as it comes out of the ground and take samples for the laboratory where the report needs them.
An engineer at Australian Ground Sciences checks and signs the report. It goes to you as a PDF, ready for your builder, slab designer or certifier.
